Dr. Michael Park

BSc, DDS, MSc (Ped. Dent.), FRCD(C)

Dr. Park has strong ties to the Mississauga community. He grew up in Erin Mills and attended Clarkson Secondary School. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Queen’s University. Dr. Park graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He spent a year as a dental resident at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto working with the medically compromised and special needs population. His post-graduate specialty in pediatric dentistry at the University of Toronto involved training at a number of hospitals including; the Hospital for Sick Children, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto Public Health Dental Services, and at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Park is a clinical instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He is on staff at Mount Sinai Hospital (Toronto) and at the Grand River Hospital (Kitchener).  He previously worked for the Toronto Children's Aid Society dental clinic and at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Dental Clinic. Dr. Park is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in pediatric dentistry and a board-certified pediatric dentist, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

When not in the dental office, he has his hands full raising 4 young girls with his wife.

Dr. Sabrina Huda

Dr. Sabrina Huda received her dental degree from the University of Toronto. She then went on to complete a one-year residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto working with medically compromised and special needs patients. As she has always loved working with children, she continued further in her studies specializing in Pediatric dentistry and completing her Master’s Degree at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. She also worked as a dentist at the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto during her training.

Dr. Huda grew up in the East end of Toronto. After completing all her training, she moved to Mississauga with her husband to be close to their family. Dr. Huda is a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto and holds privileges at the McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton and Grand River Hospital in Kitchener to serve special needs patients from those regions. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is a board-certified Pediatric dentist. Outside of her busy work schedule, Dr. Huda loves to travel with her husband and spend quality time with their loved ones that include fifteen nephews and nieces.

Dr. Regina Revuelta Perez

DDS, MSc (Ped Dent), FRCD(C)

Dr. Regina received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2001 from Universidad
Tecnológica de México (Mexico City) following which she entered private practice in a Pediatric
Dental Office. After several years, she returned to specialize, graduating in 2006 with a Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Toronto. During her final year she was awarded first place in the Student Research Competition at the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Revuelta has published many scientific articles on various aspects of dentistry for infants and children.

 She was an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto for 10 years as well as serving as Director, Pediatric Dental Surgicentre at the Faculty of Dentistry where she treated patients under general anaesthesia and supervised dental students. For the past fifteen years, Dr. Revuelta also has practiced in Pediatric Dental Offices in the Greater Toronto Area.  Dr. Revuelta is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of several other professional organizations such as the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association, the American Association of Pediatric Dentists and has served as President, Ontario Society of Pediatric Dentists.

Dr. Revuelta keeps up to date in all aspects of pediatric dentistry attending several continuing
education courses as well as CPR and PALS. Dr. Regina is fluent in English and Spanish and she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her husband, son and daughter.

Dr. Charis Luk

Dr. Luk is passionate about children. She finds it a blessing to interact and provide care for children of different ages. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Mississauga, Dr. Luk obtained her Doctor of Dental medicine (DMD) degree at the University of British Columbia. After working as a general dentist for two years, her passion for children has led her to pursue advanced specialty training at the University of British Columbia to become a Certified Pediatric Dentist. During her concurrent training at the BC Children's Hospital, she provided care and treatment for children with special needs that had medical and behavioural challenges.

Dr. Luk is active with the current research. Her research methods to lower patients anxiety for their child's dental appointment has earned her the prestigious Sunstar Research Fellowship Award from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Luk is also dedicated in educating future dentists. She serves as a clinical instructor in the pediatric dental clinic at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Jack Maltz

Dr. Jack Maltz graduated from Sir George Williams University, now called Concordia, Montreal, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Later obtained a dental degree in 1973 from the University of Montreal (French Immersion). After graduation Dr. Maltz relocated to Toronto and worked in a private practice for 5 years. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1979 with a Diploma in Pediatric Dentistry to complete formal training. In 1980, Dr. Maltz started his own private practice in Brampton, at the Bramalea City Centre, where he still practices today. In 1980 he set up the Pediatric Dental Division at Etobicoke General Hospital, and performed weekly in the OR. 1981—1982 Dr. Maltz was a lecturer at Niagara College, in the department of Oral Hygiene and taught Pediatric Dentistry to Hygiene students. In the mid 1980’s he was head of the Dental Department at Peel Memorial Hospital.

He served two terms as president of the Ontario Society of Pediatric Dentists in early 1990’s and was instrumental in bringing the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists annual meeting to Toronto. He was a councillor for Halton Peel for two terms at the ODA. Dr. Maltz was a clinical instructor at University of Toronto, in the Undergraduate Clinic and gave lectures as well on clinical diagnosis and treatment. He was a clinical instructor in the graduate department, supervising graduate students in the Surgicentre. He has been on staff at Brampton Civic Hospital, and Etobicoke General for over 35 years, and works in the OR on a weekly basis providing care for infants, people with special needs and medical conditions.

In addition to numerous articles in professional journals and The Lay Press, he wrote a book to educate the public on the need for dental prevention and optimum treatment for children titled “We Treat Children, not Teeth” just published this year. Dr. Maltz has been in practice for over 45 years and has been the main resource for patients with special needs in his community. They have extensive preventive programs, and treat people with disabilities at the hospital for more complex work.

At the present Dr. Maltz is working two days a week in the office, one day in the OR, and one day at the University.

Dr. Janet Lee

After obtaining a dental degree from the University of Toronto, Dr. Janet worked as a general dentist for a number of years before she furthered her training at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY, in order to study orthodontics. She believes confident smile can bringing out your best self, as Dr. Janet had experienced it herself after receiving braces treatment. She is thrilled to join pediatric dentist team at Erin Oaks and ABCD as this provides her an opportunity to work closely with families with young children to offer orthodontic treatment needed for proper growth and development of upper and lower jaws.

She also would like to see more and more adult patients who missed an opportunity during their childhood to improve their smile. She emphasizes braces can help patients in any age groups. Dr. Janet has fun filled life at home with her husband, four daughters and a cat. During her leisure time, she likes dancing, pilates, gardening, and changing her hair colours. She is always in search of ways for caregivers (especially mothers) to find happiness in themselves, and recharge to avoid burn out, in order to provide loving environment for their children.

Patti Visser

Dental hygienist for 36 years, pedo 35 years with Dr Maltz ortho experience for 35 years. Various ortho offices. Continue to Thoroughly enjoy my profession.

I have 2 amazing adult kids. I enjoy many outdoor activities and have a very creative side which includes wood working, crocheting and sewing various leather goods.

Jelena Pinto

Jelena joined the dental profession to bring smiles and joy to her patients. Her purpose is to create a welcoming, warm, and safe environment. Jelena can recall her childhood experience as a dental patient to be a bit overwhelming and anxious. Jelena wanted to change that experience for her own patients. Jelena has been involved in the dental profession for more than 18 years. In 2004, she graduated from George Brown College as a level II dental assistant. She felt a desire to continue her education and help serve her community as a dental hygienist.

In 2007, Jelena graduated from Regency Dental Hygiene Academy with honours. After practicing in the field of dental hygiene, Jelena returned to complete a degree in Adult Education from Brock University to teach dental hygiene students. Jelena has guest lectured at private schools and private functions, community outreach programs, and elementary schools in person and virtual. Jelena is also a myofunctional therapist. A graduate from the International Association of Orofacial Myology. Jelena enjoys customizing an effective evidence based program for her patients. She enjoys helping her patients train their muscles of the face, mouth, and tongue. After hours, Jelena enjoys reading, pilates, and spending her time with her loving and support husband, and their two adorable boys.
